Lookers Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Why did he travel to NZ if he wasn't in the match day squad? I'm excited to see him play. And it is good to see some more competition for the number 10. I wonder if he will make an appearance on the bench in Perth. Prydzopolis 1
mack Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Most clubs take one backup player on the long away trips in the event there is a late injury like a warm up injury. 102megan, Balkanite, Lookers and 1 other 4
Taurus Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Why did he travel to NZ if he wasn't in the match day squad? I'm not aware whether he travelled as a potential player or just a casual observer. Either way, it was an ideal opportunity for him to get acquainted with his new team mates, our processes & methodoligy. I suspect his contract may be extended to cover 2015 ACL campaign, if he impresses Popa over the next couple of months. DontCallMeJacko, Lookers, Prydzopolis and 1 other 4

hawks2767 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Gun player, feel sorry for the bloke after promising career was put on hold but good to see one of the Sydney A-League clubs give him a chance, a few of his team mates have been picked up by the Central Coast aswell We really need to tell those clowns to concentrate on their COE and stop snooping around the west like rats looking for players. theguyyouwishyouwere Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 My mail concurs with Fatshlob's comments. Being a non European, for him to get a gig at a French club, he has to be better than the locals, in order to warrant a 'Visa' type contract. He can play #6, #8 or #10 & was rated amongst, if not the best player in the NSWPL. Kearyn travelled to NZ with the squad for the Wellington game. His younger brother & cousin are also playing with our youth squad. reckon we might see a few jersey's with his name on the back by the end of the season. if my mail is correct Lookers, ydoow and 102megan 3
Stokz Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Is he the ball playing midfielder that we desperately need?

He trialled alongside Poscoliero (also from Blacktown City, right?) who was the one Moss ended up signing. Not sure if he didn't have the space for him and figured he had enough attacking options in the squad, but I thought Major was in with a shot at the contract. Was disappointed not to see him join, partly because I thought he was good quality and partly because the thought of Major and Duke in the line up was too good to pass up. Regarding the actual topic at hand, I'm quite excited by the prospect of Baccus, adds to the midfield options. Perhaps contends for the number 6 and 10 spot, so giving competition to Poljak, Trifiro and Bridge/Saba. Likely to be utilised during Popa's fatigue and quality management procedures and could be a versatile option off the bench. Prydzopolis 1

Burgerman Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 So he is no longer a Wanderering virgin anymore, did ok and looked nervous and had an awkward pass go for a corner. It's funny how Popa can debut someone in a big derby game and probably won't see him play again for ages. Prydzopolis 1

mack Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 The new Mooy. Takes less touches too. Just needs to get some shoots ***** in. Prydzopolis 1
Nnnnnathan12 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 He does like the long pass. When it's on the ground its good and it can switch the play quite well. But when it's in the air, it goes straight to the player, he doesn't place it in a spot where Castelen or Bridge could run onto it Prydzopolis 1
GunnerWanderer Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Would like to see more of, roar were a little toothless interested to see how he would go against stronger teams like Adelaide an Victory. Still not 100% convinced. Prydzopolis 1
Nnnnnathan12 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Well he is what he is, just an injury replacement player.on the minimum A-League wage, I'm not expecting a lot from him, so whatever he does good has to be a positive

Has impressed me so far - and lets face it, my opinion matters to popa.... Burgerman, WSW27 and Prydzopolis 3
Dalison Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I thought he was pretty poor in the first half but much improved and showed some good stuff while he was on in the second.
MartinTyler Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 He took a while to find his feet but wasn't helped by the lack of cohesion amongst the rest of his team mates. Stick with him and IMO a better option than Trifiro. Prydzopolis 1
West13 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) Popa is starting to mould his squad for next season and beyond. I can see baccus being a trifiro replacement, low salary solid. Evident by baccus coming Into last 5 match day squads. Edited December 3, 2014 by West13 Prydzopolis 1
Cazorla Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Did himself justice for his first ALeague start. Expect some decent things from him in the future. Prydzopolis 1
Davo Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 He looks like a good option to have. He's not as defensively strong as Poljak or La Rocca but he looks to go forward a lot more when we have the ball. He's part way between those two and Mooy. theguyyouwishyouwere, DontCallMeJacko and Prydzopolis 3
