I guess that means we're now a two man team. Improvement.

did ADP even play?

He played the first 45, then hobbled around a bit in the 2nd, then went off and the team played better.... hmmmm

We have the NRL on the run, every single corner of the internet they are losing their **** that this derby made a mockery of their crowds.

I was just about to walk into that tunnel when the bunger went off, and then had to drag my son out of the way as the cops bundled this guy back out of the tunnel. We were almost knocked over by the cops as it was pretty violent.

I'm so sick of this ****!.

The march then went off perfectly, and the night was a cracker (excuse the pun), proving that we don't need these pyrotechnics at our games to be the best active support in the country.

I agree the ogmonster was huge but he has been for a few weeks

what odds him and spira at the back in Brazil. I'd be happy with that.

A couple of weeks ago Ognenovski made a stuff up at Newcastle quite similar to Beauchamp's on Friday night but lucky for him he got away with it and even went on to score a goal. I think some clown on Fox Sports even gave him man of the match (probably cos he got the goal) but in reality it was a poor performance... gave the ball away a number of times and looked as clunky as he does sometimes when playing for the Socceroos. It's a very fine line between being the hero and being the villain.... Beauchamp can testify to that! For some strange reason people also seem to appreciate a player's performance and forgive a lot more when his team wins.

Have just watched the game on tv , when slowing it down  you  can see Abbas giving Santa a gobfull before it all kicked off ( 2nd half just after the incident when Santa  inadvertently followed through on the keeper)  He who cast the first stone John 8. 7

Cheers Howie.

Back to the match.. Not sure if it's been talked about in this thread - it doesn't look like SFC forum is talking about it either, but Ono was offside for his goal.

Not that it matters because we won but just for the record.. actually if it was ruled out for offside we might not have gone on to win so it all worked out in the end for all..

Is that picture your evidence that he was offside?

Show where Ono is at the exact moment Santalab makes contact with the ball. Not saying you're lying, but there is a better shot which proves offside.

That picture is a split second after the ball is headed towards Ono.

This photo is at the precise moment Santalab's head connects with the ball.

Actually, on seeing a slow replay Santa heads the ball which hits Jurman's back and is deflected toward Ono.

But as per FIFA's offside law, a deflected ball forward to a player in an offiside position is still offside.

We're plastics now? Your club is 1.5 seasons old, was announced on twitter and marketed through Facebook.

That's as ironic as these brand-new merch wearing ultras who are against modern football

is it a co-incidence that the diagram shows the teams in red and blue?

I don't find it surprising they used red and blue for the 2 teams' colours, but I think that the example being used by FIFA is very similar to the play leading up to Ono's goal.

Oh, and it was apparently Beauchamp's 33rd birthday on derby night. Happy belated birthday champ.

I'm not quite sure you understand what the whole 'against modern football' thing is all about (admittedly it doesn't look like the people in that photo do either).

My understanding is it's against treating fans like customers and making decisions which put the bottom line before the fans.

You've mentioned the club being announced on twitter in this context several times but I'm pretty sure they aren't against things in football actually being modern or new. They're not upset that we aren't catching a steam train to a game where everyone, including the referee, is wearing a flat cap.

Yes our club was announced on twitter (ie the internet) but how was your club announced? I'm sure it was at least partly announced on the internet. That's not 'modern football' as much as just how people communicate now. Where do you think the cut off is for modern or non-plastic? Both our clubs involved the internet so are they both plastic? Is being announced on TV ok because I'm sure there are some oldies who reminisce about the days when a club was announced on the wireless.

1: I am actually upset about the steam train part. The flat caps are MY thing, I don't want every ******* referee wearing one as well (not srs)

2: That photo always irks me. Mostly for the ammunition it gives our rivals. I'm petty like that.

3: Pretty sure if twitter was around when the A-League was formed- ESFC would've been announced on twitter as well.

4: I need coffee.

The talk up for the tifo was to ensure we had the bay full to pull it off. would of been highly embarrassing if we didn't have 3 full bays

the 'somethings you don't turn your back on' tifo was better imo

It was a 2 part tifo, which made it genius.

Part 1. massive banner saying "some things you don't turn your back on"

Part 2. turn your back and walk out on your team a few weeks later

It looked good, the banner, but all that energy spent on a handful of people... meh.

The one on the weekend with the combination of cards and banner was better I thought. Although the message makes me laugh.
