Its wrong to denigration a person due to their race/culture/religionous beliefs, because it doesn't just attack the individual, it attack's all the people that the slander has been directed too.

Some of the comments on these articles relating to the current topic, just show how backward we are.

We are ment to be the multicultural melting pot of Australia and the attitude displayed by some people shows no respect!!

It made me feel like we aren't united at all, its a load of bullshit

Might be time to lock this thread. And then delete it. Last weekend never happened.

Oh it happened alright, seeing the blue people rise up out of their chairs only in the last 10 minutes meanwhile nowhere to be seen the whole season.

At the other half of the field, Wanderers fans standing in unison singing while down louder and louder, letting the team know we are always there for them, completely opposite to what the other team does.

I would go back to that night if I could, for me that was beautiful, **** the other blue team and their win, we took the bragging rights in the stands and they damn well know it, hence their dumb ass fans coming out of the woodwork living in deep denial, Southy and Norwester is ok though.

2013/14 Average Attendance by Club

Sydney - 20,276

Western Sydney - 15,359

No doubt Tony Pignata has already sent a "thank you" note to the Lyall Gorman and the Wanderers club in advance for "making us look better than we really are". We seem to be the only club who helps other teams averages.

You should try turning up for your home games.

<sigh> another one out of the woodwork who can't do decent banter, where is the message board pet smurf Parra when you need him.

I don't know what you intend to prove though? You travel well (we already know that). Give it 8 years. The novelty will probably wear off after a while. Edited by NorWester

When we aren't handicapped with a small stadium, we get more people out of their houses then any other team.

Hah, the good ol' 'give it more time'.. Yeah give it more time, wait until we get a bigger stadium and get most average attendance.

Wait until the league grows as a whole and trumps the NRL, getting more TV rights, getting new people to take over the FFA that actually know what they're doing, there are too many possible reasons to indicate that our league will grow in those 8 years that you mention, so actually, the numbers for home AND away will grow! Your point is mute.

Why do you and the victory fans use this magic number 8? it is to justify your current $hitty support?

I'm not going to bother arguing because it's all been said before. But until every seat in your stadium is filled (as in bum on seat each week) you're not going to be able to justify a significant upgrade, imo

Cmon dude, I believe you should be smarter then that considering people on this forum had missed you a little.

If a club caps out on memberships, and nearly ALL the games are sold out, do you not see the logic in renovating for more seats? Do you not see the potential for more money? Do you not see the logic that it would bring our attendance up?

Are you really going to keep being in denial or just admit how much we would benefit from a stadium upgrade.

don't try to understand how a smurf thinks, he lacks ambition and thinking ahead ESFC is a perfect team for him.

Even Derbys don't get "sold out" though, so your point is invalid.....

Typical Sydney FC.

"We should have our big stadium because we are entitled to it.

You guys need to completely fill your stadium every week until an upgrade should be considered."

I'll clarify.

A large upgrade (<6000 seats) would be a bit much for me as you haven't had the 'down' period yet. Now i know you all get the donks when sydney fans speak of 'down' periods, but just here me out. Your stadium is quite literally the perfect size for an a-league club (23-25k would be stellar). The last thing you need to to rapidly expand but not have the success to drive it. I'd rather you guys get success and be filling it to capacity for a year, or doing average-poor and still filling it < 3/4 full each week before significant upgrades.

Safe standing and a bigger, more extensive roof would probably do you more good at this time.

Were not just getting extra seats they are fixing change rooms and corporate areas and I think some food shops toilets etc. Parra hasn't had any major fixing since it was built and is about time regardless of drop in fans etc

Mate capacity is 19,500 not 23-25k, where did you pull that figure from? We wish we had that capacity.

Holy crap I think I agree with a smurf. His comment is valid. I think he meant our stadium is a great size, but 23-25k would be perfect. We would benefit from an additional 4k spread between the two end stands and a high roof over the ends. I am in RBB each week but sat in the side stand for the ACL game and the sound is amazing bouncing off the roof.

Plus, flares look better in the dark. :ninja:
