Jukes01 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 WOW. People, do you think it might be possible to bite your tongues and just wait a day until the RBB releases their statement? I've got lots of things that I want to say but I think its bloody ridiculous how most of you here are being so pre-emptive and voicing whats already been said a thousand times over. Just have patience, and if the statement is not to your liking, then go for it. I think what would have been more appropriate is for the RBB to formulate a reason for a protest. If you didn't have time, then you should have saved the protest for a more appropriate day. I look forward to the response because right now there are a lot of people both in the RBB and in the stands who are not happy with the decision taken today. This is not a criticism either, its just the way I see it and the way a majority of others see it. Bring out the statement, we are all waiting to hear why we are protesting and not getting behind our team like we should be. Harvey, Redhead, bombagol and 9 others 12
RoarFan Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 You lot are a ******* Joke, 1 season in and you are already protesting because things do go your way. Delije Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (Pointing to RBB) ..... who are ya, who are ya! Are you here to support the boys on the park or yourselves? You break the rules you pay the consequences - support your foorball team or go support a lawn bowles club! The RBB support YOUR team more than anyone in the stands. The RBB are the reason why you get to walk around proud when attending football games today in Australia. The RBB are the reason why you and everyone else sing songs all week at home and in the car during the week. If you can't realise the RBB are protesting for certain reason then that is YOUR problem mr keyboard warrior. Next time your doing the poznan or singing WDYSF, remember why you are doing it son! Zelinsky Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 **** me. I am still trying to figure out what that actually was that I've just witnessed. Was it The Cove coming to town? I don't know the lyrics to every chant, but I do remember this one: We're from the streets of Western Sydney Home of the mighty RBB We will follow you forever Always will we be by your side I guess there is a disclaimer missing which allows for deviations from "forever" and "always". WSW2166 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 i think ppl are pissed off bcoz of the result, RBB not chanting doesn't change the fact we r probably the only team in the league that cant score from a corner, or that our decision making sucked, we r lucky the teams around us are just as bad. someone teach NTS how to head the ball Downward. his not defending. MCHammer Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 The RBB Facebook account mentioned that the protest was "in response to the misleading email sent by the club" This was posted before kick off. I know you might say that the capos could have communicated this better to everyone, but a full explanation communicated in the right manner (in writing) tops what might have been a poor and misinterpreted message if given hurriedly today.

wendybr Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 You guys realise EVERYONE who has ever been humiliated by the RBB's attendance at a match is now taking cheap shots left right and centre ? All you have done is lower yourselves to the pathetic levels of the NT and the Cove, all you have done is drop the noise levels to the pathetic levels of the CCM fans and the Jets fans. Except when the two sets of supporters took matters into their own hands and delivered a great set of WDYSFs. Well done Eastern stand for getting the ball rolling. We in the West actually had quite an amusing time. Spoke to some of our neighbours for the first time. A few of us attempted to join in a "Come On You Wanderers" started above us ...but it didn't quite lift off much as what the Eastern.side got started. We actually had quite a bit of good spirit. Had a few attempts at "Can't Hear the RBB Sing" Chanted "Wan-der-ers" during the Posnan. Shame about the result- the Jets clearly the better team. Not a bad evening for a lot of quite unexpected reasons. Erdz, stavup, almac and 4 others 7

I found out when I got to the roxy that there was no march and then when I get to the game I read twitter 15mins before kickoff I find out about the silent protest. Last protest, we found out before the match, they got their 20minutes of protest in and then got back to supporting the team. This time absolutely no word to the fans and we had to do our best. To protest for 20minutes last time for such a large issue for those that were banned unfairly (plus a banner explaining things) but this time they protested for the whole match? Are things as bad as they are at the NT that we need to protest for the whole match? Neverbloom 1

As a WSW fan, it is WSW, the players and coaches putting their efforts on the line every single week and making us proud that gives me the pride. The RBB is a great part of the club but I am a fan of WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS not the RBB. Shitty embarrassing displays like today further the distinction in my mind. MajorMelons Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) It's a bit harsh to blame RBB as a whole, the average RBB member is just a regular fan who wanted to be active instead of sitting down. They have to pretty much do what the "core" decide. I bet a lot of RBB wanted to support the team today but had no choice. I mean were they asked for an opinion? They are just lemmings (and I don't mean that to be deragotary) who have to do what they are told. The club has hit the nail on the head when they punished the sub groups and not the entire RBB as that's who calls the shots. The explanation better be good and backed up by some facts. Looking forward to it. Edited March 2, 2014 by MajorMelons Neverbloom, NeverMind, baron60 and 7 others 10
Jowel Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I'm guessing the misleading part of the email is about the memorandum of understanding. I don't think the RBB leadership would have ever agreed to one, hence why they would be pissed off that the club says there is one. I'm guessing the upcoming statement from RBB leaders will focus on that aspect and sidetrack the real issue, being that there was a coordinated/planned pyro display on Wednesday night. I ain't expecting the leadership to come out and say they are against pyro and I don't expect the RBB website stop glorifying flares in every second image there. Just waiting for the leadership to get it 100% right finally. You're only 80% there at the moment. Btw I have let these thoughts known to some core dudes in the past face to face. Posthoc Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Sorry but I lost all respect for RBB tonight. You guys acted like a bunch of children. You have tried to put yourself above the team and club, not cheering not lifting a finger when the team needed you, the streets of Western Sydney obviously mean nothing. No respect, the fact that the players went over to you annoyed me, but clearly they respect you more than what you showed them. No keyboard warrior here. Feeling a bit jaded by you lot I read the e-mail as well. Didn't see anything wrong with it. If you have an issue with a memorandum of understanding this could have been easily sorted at the next meeting with club officials. I cant see this as a reason for a protest. Again this is not trying to criticize, but having a protest should be seen as a very last resort. I cant say I agree if this is the real reason. Neverbloom 1
