ACL Kit

I don't usually get up in arms about anything but even CCM could manage this...3 months ago. A jersey that was almost a certainty they'd only wear once, if even.

:(

This angers me....... A LOT  :xmad:  :nono:

Also mentions Brisbane Roar sold their ACL kit on their first game.

The orange (home) and black (away) kits carry the front of shirt logo of new Champions League Group Stage Principal Partner, Griffith University . The black away jerseys will be on sale at the stadium tonight.

FFS you can even buy a Mariners ACL goalkeeper jersey.

Although to be fair they probably bought 25 jerseys for each of the group stage games and still have about 100 of the 150 unsold.

1) Why would the AFC restrict production? Isn't a jersey with their little badge saying to play for 60 minutes and screw around on the ground for the remaining 30 meant to be good for them?
Promoting their own brand?? etc..

2) I'm just too damn mad to think of any other points.

They haven't even specified which email address to send the email to!

I'm sure all this will be clarified through all the official club communication channels (Ben Trupiano's twitter) and/or emailed to us at 9:20 on Monday morning.

The thing I don't understand - is that selling MORE jerseys = making MORE money.

Like, wouldn't that be a win for all parties involved???

AFC might be restricting production

Considering that Brisbane Roar AND Central Coast Mariners were both able to design, produce, release, and sell ACL jerseys before their matches this ACL competition - I would say not.

Yeah but we are getting badging

The club/Nike was too lazy last season, and we didn't have badging then.

I'm talking about the badging on the sleeves....

Here we go...

So it's been SEVEN HUNDRED AND ELEVEN (711) DAYS since we qualified for the ACL, and WSW fans have nothing to show for it.

Your twitter feed is hilarious Megan.

There should be an FFDU award for the most disgruntled fan.

I'm surprised it hasn't blocked me from Tweeting any more yet! :D :D :D

It's mostly tongue-in-cheek and over-the-top  -  but I am a little bit bothered by it all hahahaha.

An email has been sent from me. I think others should too

I'm friends with the son of Mr Cheng (who is apart of the consortium) on facebook, anything nice to say?  :ninja:

Just another example of the pure unadulterated fücknuckledom that has become the status quo in the regime of The bumbling Oligarchs who scored our club for a pittance from Frank Lowy.

Where's our fan elected board member? Wasn't that promised to us, a long, long time ago? Better yet, where's our stake in the club's shares?

I'm sure most of us a feeling that way.

Your posts are definitely valid.

Our club management sucks.

I suggest everyone get on twitter/facebook/emails and hammer the club! Hopefully they cop an earful and decide to please us by producing more jerseys!

A few things:

Firstly, WTF? Why do we need speed holes or whatever they're called on my jersey? I wear it to the game to watch not to play. A replica is more than enough as long as it has all the badging.

In regard to Nike, same principle as season 1 when you'd be lucky to find anything with a Wanderers logo applies here. They are a multi national corporation who sponsor many of the biggest clubs and teams in the the biggest competitions in the biggest sports in the world. We are just a blimp on the radar, if they miss an opportunity to capitalise on our interest in jerseys, they'll just make that up through the sale of Barcelona jerseys or Ronaldo's boots. It's loose change to them.

I have a feeling that it could be also to do with Jersey sponsorship. I imagine that NRMA are paying a lot more than Pepper to appear on our a-league jerseys and the reality is that they even get exposure through people just wearing their jerseys around. Therefore if they're paying more then it wouldn't surprise me if they'd like to have a greater number of jerseys with their logo on them. Just a thought.

Overall, pretty average.

I'd also like to know why there is such a specific pick up time and location as well as why they can't tell us the price? Are they planning on stealing these and flogging them on the quiet? Will those who secure one be sworn to secrecy? Is our club branching out into organised crime? Is this the real reason we signed Bulut? :ninja:

This is so sh1t

Maybe Nike isn't the kit supplier next season and have made it difficult to produce the ACL jerseys because they are on the way out?

That actually (in the crazy world of marketing/business/sponsorship/brand exposure) makes a lot of sense. I never considered this.

Still, :(

If we were to get an online petition going and get it spread throughout the wsw social media groups and twitter, etc and get as much fans to sign it... Around 3k-5k And send it to the club.. That should make them realise to order more.

Dissapointed with the club. Couldnt even state a price on that stupid email. Why not offer replica jerseys. Aren't these player issue jerseys a size or two smaller than what we normally wear? Guarantee there will be a few that do order and the jersey ends up not fitting them

I bought the authentic players cut jersey, and they are smaller....I'm tubby and have never worn it

Well then the NRMA should've paid more than pepper

NRMA paid 700k+ a season x 3.

Visy paid approx 300k for ACL sponsorship & didn't renew this year.

I seriously doubt that Pepper would have paid same as much as Visy.
