102megan Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Needs more Comic Sans!! Mine is better. (Even with the dodgy paint job) Needs more Comic Sans!
Burgerman Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Meh! don't love and don't hate it,but wouldn't buy it. Looks like 2 types with different lined up strips(check out sleeves) Whats the alternative strip look like if needed? Red and white maybe
Guest mickisnot Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 -The colour of the visy logo is a bit s**t -I like the numbers on the front. -Think its good that they didnt change the kit. -I won't be buying one. Because I've already spent quite a lot on merch this year and its not a kit that really stands out. -Hope the players jersey have the date, location and opposition stitched in to the jersey in between the badge and Nike logo LOL, See I've also spent quite a lot on merchandise but I'm dumb enough to get conned into buying it. The Wanderers club marketing team would just have to release an advertisement saying "Buy this shirt, it's history, we got into the Asian Champions League BECAUSE OF THE AMAZING INAUGURAL SEASON" "Holy Cr@P I must buy that sick ACL jersey!!!! 2012/13 WAS THE BEST YEAR EVER!!!!"
MajorMelons Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I actually like the numbers on the front, maybe it is an ACL requirement?
matty Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I like it. It's simple, designed well and doesn't have too much going on. Would I have preferred 'VISY' on a black background as they do with the NRMA logo? Yes, but VISY's colour is blue so we can't really do much about that NRMA's logo is also blue
MajorMelons Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Having blue on our jerseys is as out of place as the red Adecco ads on Victory jerseys. We should do a swap with them.

Yes, but VISY's colour is blue so we can't really do much about that NRMA's logo is also blue heh well i'll be damned Weird. Must be something to do with the sponsor positioning perhaps? I noticed that the VISY box isn't centred, it's aligned to a top of a stripe... maybe AFC regulations or something.

The fact they saw sense and made it black on our strip shows that it can and,in visys case, should have been done
Prydzopolis Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 In saying that, this is the first year we have been in acl so there might be some teething issues with design. Since nrma has been on since the very beginning it has meant we have pretty much had 1.5 seasons to get it right! To tell you the truth, the design, colors, positioning or numbers don't really bother me too much!! I much rather see a good performance with a crappy jersey on the pitch rather than a crappy performance and a good jersey!
wswnick Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 VISY may be stricter on their brand than NRMA.
Nnnnnathan12 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 isnt there meant to be afc champions league badges on the sleeves as well?
Gazmon Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 To settle a few discussions on here and Twitter about the kit: Yes we must have the number of the front of the shirt, AFC requirement Cannot have non-AFC approved sponsors, hence why Hyundai A-League has gone (as it conflicts with Toyota)
RenegadeDom Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Looks a bit povo to me...seems a bit unfinished. No doubt It'll grow on me though.
OglenLangden Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Looks like a non-wanderers jersey on bought on ebay last season. Just red and black hoops.

The fact they saw sense and made it black on our strip shows that it can and,in visys case, should have been done VISY sponsor is not for the benefit of WSW or for making our kits look nice. We'll play 3 games overseas and a lot of people will be looking at that. Having the proper VISY logo on the shirt means people will get it easier. Australian clubs are billboards to a wider market in ACL and it isn't for the aesthetic of the shirt.

essdub Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I'm just glad most of you arn't making big decisions at the club.
theguyyouwishyouwere Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I'm just glad most of you arn't making big decisions at the club. fine - we weren't gonna make you centre forward anyway
Johnno Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Its a much better design than 7 other a-league clubs have for this years ACL
Jaggy Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I've just finished sewing the hem of my new ACL kit design and I'm I'm off to the Thread Thread to show of my new creation.

Jaggy Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Sorry guys I was just joking about the kit, actually I was trying to give the thread thread some more promotion. Guess my days of wanting to be a stand up comic are done and dusted....

Gazmon Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 One of the peeps at the 442 forums has done some ACL mock ups:
MadKaw Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 I like that one.. The Mariners one looks like it was designed for the girl in Total Recall...
teddies Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 The Wanderers kit above looks like an old North Sydney leagues club kit. And the mariners one needs a turtle neck and more pink. Good designing tho!!
Hughesy Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Interesting but I don't understand this fascination with having a separate champions league jersey. We're the same club with the same name and the same crest whether we're playing in the HAL or ACL. We have a home and away jersey, ******* simple
Michael Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 What's with the white shorts for the home kit?
Michael Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 On second thought, I suspect they won't be used for the ACL because of the Westfields sponsors. But still why would they wear boots, socks and those shorts for the photo shoot? It's kind of odd.
