ManfredSchaefer Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I heard in the J-League they are using drift nets in goals and then claiming anything that gets caught in the back can be used for cetacean research... PS...poll needs a fourth option...NO to ANZ. MiguelB and wendybr 2
JamCal Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Let's go park football style. Not. thats what they look like jamcal. ball goes in there. Blaxland has box nets!
davidn Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I agree we should copy Barcelona. Our team is good but let's sign Messi.

Bob Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Pragmatically, the deeper the net, the deeper the balls slide in. Will be much harder and less likely for the balls to pop out of a deep hole. Less likely for an incorrect decision of a score.
Gazmon Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Let's go park football style. Not. thats what they look like jamcal. ball goes in there. I remember (as a ref) getting nets like those re-done before a game once because they were too tight. I said 'what if the ball hits the upper section and rebounds back into the field of play... I want some elasticity'. They had a whinge and eventually did it but still complained all game... seriously!. As it turned out the field next door had theirs on in the same tight fashion and they had a goal disallowed because the ball bounced out. Karma!

Neverbloom Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 /ThreadLock you'll never get that moderator status with that attitude......... I disagree, I'm just being a tyrant like Mack ... Simples! KILL IT, KILL IT
Malone Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Screw the nets altogether.Jumpers for goal posts. Kizza 1
Sime11 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 can we have a PAX for the holes in the current nets used? and will there be an option for buyback scheme for these holes, these need to sell out .....
ManfredSchaefer Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 What about a poll for the height/width of goalies? There needs to be a standardised dimensional criteria set up for all glovesmen so they never get smaller than Vukovic or taller than Covic or more ***** irritating arseholes than Kalac.
marron Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Screw the nets altogether. Jumpers for goal posts. Er, it was handbags, um, %110.
Flytox Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Deep nets keep unmentionable incendiary devices further away from the keeper.
JamCal Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Jumpers for goal posts. Best flash game ever. Malone 1

AEK Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Because Jamcal is still looking for the person that voted NO! Jamcal is a 5 year FFA ban to hand to him!
JamCal Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 6 whole people have voted no. I didn't realise how many people were prepared to betray me on this forum.
Neverbloom Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 this thread deserved to be copied and pinned onto every single forum that exists especially forums not related to football
NickNova Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 The real reason that they're deep is so that Covic has room to rumble Heskey in there again.
Unlimited Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) What about a poll for the height/width of goalies? There needs to be a standardised dimensional criteria set up for all glovesmen so they never get smaller than Vukovic or taller than Covic or more ***** irritating arseholes than Kalac. According to Wikipedia, Covic is only two inches taller than Vukovic? That can't be right... Edited November 5, 2013 by Unlimited
MadKaw Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 How about these. http://www.networldfootball.co.uk/football-nets/full-size-football-nets/black-red-striped-football-nets.html Neverbloom 1
West13 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Deep nets means keepers have more time to walk to pick the ball up and therefore more time to reflect on the goal. Think of all the extra exercise Eugene got last year...
