Neverbloom Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 How is it not off seasonApparently it being (almost) mid-week = same effect as the offseason. too long since football has happened, too long till more football dmixtaaa 1
JamCal Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Its like 3 whole days until football. This is torture. Burztur, dmixtaaa and 102megan 3
marron Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I like our long nets. When I look at them, I think, wow, they are some long nets. More than this there is far too much homogeneity in football these days. Teams, grounds, styles, players, they are all blending into one morass of blandness. Anything that is slightly different individualises us and can only be a good thing. Every day I am amazed that we managed to create a club that wasn't the western pride playing out of homebush. We do things differently here. Long nets represent our individuality and the long history of football in the region. #notoshortnets 1330 and Chaopescado 2
MartinTyler Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Pissing myself laughing at all the comments here but I do agree, they are too big !!
marron Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Despite their opposition to the style of net in general, these people would agree that our long nets are worth fighting for: http://goalnets2014.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/the-petition.html?m=1
Lmc Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I just signed the petition. Only 3 more people needed.!

Davo Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I disagree completely with the idea of reducing the nets, if anything they should be bigger. I've been to every Wanderers home game and not once have we caught any fish. Kizza, GunnerWanderer, dmixtaaa and 7 others 10
Balkanite Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 /ThreadLock you'll never get that moderator status with that attitude......... I disagree, I'm just being a tyrant like Mack ... Simples!

Flytox Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I disagree completely with the idea of reducing the nets, if anything they should be bigger. I've been to every Wanderers home game and not once have we caught any fish. Should have had them out yesterday. We might have caught some parramonday. Kizza, theguyyouwishyouwere and KGee 3
Andy70 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Here is the evidence I'd like to produce to support this cause. Our nets: Barcelona's nets: If we want to be taken seriously as a power in world football we need to copy the greats and have shallower nets. See, not even look the same To compare nets go to comparethegoalnets.com.au - simples 102megan, DontCallMeJacko, SHUUUU and 5 others 8
Gazmon Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Yes! Yes! Yes! I've been wanting to bring up this issue since day 1. They are too deep... can't stand it! There is no reason for it... #FirstWorldProblems

Sime11 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 nets are too classy for us Westies, we need cages FTW!!!!!!! especially when the ball can take out the opposing GK or defender upon rebound from the back of the cage, a real life double tap
KGee Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 See, not even look the same To compare nets go to comparethegoalnets.com.au - simples Oops! Google Chrome could not find comparethegoalnets.com.au
Erebus Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 This is similar to a thread I read once on a PES fan site complaining about the net physics in one of the PES games. True story AND a cool story. bro.

theguyyouwishyouwere Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 i beleive ESFC had this issue first, they have a thread full of #LongNetsOut talk you'd think they'd want longer nets so their keeper can waste more time picking the ball out the back of it KGee and wendybr 2
Johnno Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 The coasties want wider line markings, so the keeper can save those pesky back passes
theguyyouwishyouwere Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 The coasties want wider line markings, so the keeper can save those pesky back passes bozza used to want wider lines too, but for different reasons Alexander, 102megan, Tranquilo and 8 others 11
