Yeah, but I was referring more to the hangers on in Bay 56 who don't join in!!!

That video's pretty funny. There's a fair few people in the home end and it looks like there are plenty of people getting into in it, then the camera moves up a bit and you realise that other than the 20-30 odd people in the foreground, everybody's just standing there silently.

Plus I'm not a big fan of the changes they have compared to the RBB version. I thought you were supposed to mosh between each verse but they seem to get together and cuddle in the middle for a while.

I read something in the Saturday paper about RBB looking for a trumpeter. Parammatta stadium doesn't allow musical instruments into the stadium (don't mention the drums because all musicians know that drums aren't musical imstruments). I was just wondering if a trumpet would be allowed in the stadium or would it be thrown in the recycle bin like bottled drinks that are already opened.

Welcome mate.

There's another thread on here about what musical instruments are needed by the RBB. I cant find it now so will leave you to do some searching.

I'm pretty sure a trumpet could be let into the stadium if properly registered (someone else can confirm). Anyway, make yourself known either here or at the Woolpack and see where it goes....

You will be welcomed with open arms! PM me dude

Sorry to get hopes up fellas but it was a general question going by what I read in the paper and knowing Parra stadium rules. And just having interest because of my music history playing a trumpet in school many many years ago. So skill level is basically 'mary had a little lamb" It's just that the old trumpet was sitting under my bed and I was looking at it considering my options in putting it to use. I would not have committment because of not only my work, and my energy levels at my age, but I go to games with my family and I wouldn't want to be seperate from them for long.

I think it may help if it was printed on the tickets what bays 55 56 57 are for, or when buying the tickets online u get a warning pop up.. maybe something the club might be able to add for next season

Posted

This is what I was exactly trying to say before and people though I was taking a piss at newbies.. I said it before and so did someone else some of the newbies are only there to experince it.. which leave legit active supporters out of active bays because the newbies are getting there before we even march

Posted

it used to be printed and stated on the ticketek website and on the ticketek rbb section that is an active section and that your view may be obscured and also you may be asked to participate in activities. But no it seems it just says active these days and doesn't give the general fan an idea of what is required if you pruchase these tickets. Ive got new friends who want to watch the match who have asked me i wanna buy tickets in rbb and ive had to explain to them what is required if you do decide to buy in them rows. Many ppl don't even know that being in that area means forget about sitting all match long. After every ones first match then fans will decide when they return where they will prefer in the future to sit I presume.

Agree with you BootCleaner. I had a few mates who wanted to start attending games because i had encouraged them to. They asked to sit in the RBB with me, I told them it's fine, although you are expected to stand all game, and chant non stop at the top of your lungs, If you can't do that, i'm sorry but you have to sit elsewhere cause it's not fair for others. they decided to sit in the grandstands, and enjoyed the atmosphere, he even said to me "man you guys are crazy i love it, but lucky i didn't sit there, i couldn't do that"

I also had a few people standing next to me at the victory game who had no idea what the chants were. It was so damn frustrating! I kept encouraging them to chant along, but they only clapped. i think there needs to be some form of patrolling in the active bays, and anyone seen to be not chanting / participating should be asked to sit elsewhere!

I have no issues with new people coming into the RBB seating. As long as they chant and sing all game. I reckon we need to crack out the chant seats at the ground for next game.

You will pay for saying the drums aren't musical instruments. xD

i might be out of order in terms of chanting for our next match what would be an area i could go so i dont take room from someone who will chant? sounds like everything is sold out

We need to spread Capos out on Sunday.

Either this or invest in more megaphones. Kop, Turner and myself were running in between bays 56 and 57 last game trying to get people into it. If they see someone with a megaphone yelling at them they will most probably sing.

Maybe not megaphones but speakers in front of the RBB?

A couple of observations from a non-RBB member.

-Rope or tape off whatever sections you want saved for capos/drummers, whether that’s front rows or middle of the bay

(I see the club may put reserved signs on some seats but getting the club to tape off the section would be even better)

Obviously needs to be done by whoever is allowed in early to set up the banners/tifos

And do it every game for the rest of the season, eventually people will understand those areas are reserved, may take a season or two tho

-Consider marching earlier (I guess it can’t be changed for this week)

Not everyone with RBB tickets or GA people in the RBB bays are going to march.

With the popularity of the games, and the RBB, getting bigger an unfortunate consequence is that you need to arrive earlier, even me just to get a decent park.

I’m amazed at the work all the RBB+ organisers do and this is even creating more effort but may save some angst.

Hahah yeah Steko, don't worry I seen ya ;) Almost got blown away by that cracker too ;)

In regards to holding off Bay 56 until the march gets there, would sending off some people to the game as soon as the gates are open, wearing some form of identity (like fluro vests) to hold off the bay a good idea? I'm sure the bandwagoners will listen if blokes (or chicks) in high vis vests come up to them and explain what the story is.

if the newbies are going to get to 56 early, that's fine.

as long as they f*cking make some noise.

the rest of the RBB can filter through 55/57 and help get all those bays Active as well :)

will work better in the long run.

i'm sure most of the ppl getting there early don't know about this forum, don't know about the March, don't know about the Woolpack.'

hopefully that changes on Sunday :)

Yeah. RBB are really going to have to spread out to get everyone going. Sold out end, MENTAL! If we can get most people singing we will sound epic.

I think we have 3 or 4 megaphones at every home game. For the FC derby they let us bring only one.
