julyaugustreno Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 the way its going, would we be expecting the average to go to 4 figures next week? There aren't really an derbies to speak of. Roar might boost their numbers because of ADP, Melbourne Victory are at home so we could expect a larger crowd there to help. Maybe a larger than normal crowd in Perth to see the A-Leagues newbies?
DeanYardbox Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Some supporters may have only attended 1 or 2 games, or are yet to attend their first game. It takes a few games to learn the chants and participate. It is safe to say that those who have attended only a few, probably don't logon to the chants forum and learn the words. We are a new club with new chants. As more people come and experience WSW for the first time, they will return and eventually learn the chants. We will only improve with time.
julyaugustreno Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 probably need a bit more advertising for the website and the podcast
matty Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 We still doing those flyers with the website on it etc? I'm willing to hand them out on game days
julyaugustreno Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I could probably do another batch. Not sure if the artwork is still floating around here or if I left it at my old job :|
matty Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Yeah, the artwork would do, i could print them out, cop them up and hand em out
DeanYardbox Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Just a tip, if handing them out, probably don't hand them out at the pub as most of the people at the pub are active supporters and know the words already. Probably best handing them out to people in the ticketek line and people sitting in the North and South stands.
matty Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 This is to advertise the site, not chant words
eggs Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Not sure if this is any help but I have found Twitter is good for finding people interested in specific things (WSW / Football / A-League), may take some time but just search for any #gowanderers or #WSWFC tweets and follow these people, or @reply to them asking them to check out the forum. Also when the podcast get on iTunes, make sure it's tagged a-league / football etc.. and people will find it and thus find the website.
cpcDanger Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Round 7: Overall Crowd Average - 14,685 Roar v Sydney - 22,970 United v Heart - 8,816 Victory v Mariners - 19,462 Jets v Phoenix - 13,116 Glory v Wanderers - 9,060

cpcDanger Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Wanderers should get a bump after the win, and Victory tend to get decent crowds when they travel. I think we will get somewhere near 12k
Jukes01 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Active support = asking someone new to come and support the team. I know I am proud of this team and talk about how great it is to support the club every chance I get. I am pretty sure we will get regular crowds of 10-12k a week soon enough. Why wouldnt you want to support the club, once they see for themselves it doesnt take long before they will be hooked and converted. Still buzzing over our win today. Awesome
Trojan Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Whats with adelaide? They are first, playin good football yet only manage 8k crowd???
spectacular291 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 probably need a bit more advertising for the website and the podcast This just threw that one in there cause its funny

Unless you are a die hard fan, why would you want to sit out in the sun at the hottest part of the day (in summer) when you can watch it at home on the box. It is the price we pay to get the TV money. If every game was on at 7.30 on a Saturday night, I reckon the crowds would improve across the board. But that is not going to happen.
Victory Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 We are bringing 500+ and the allure of Vitory and your win should get some through the gates. Anyone got a PAX yet?

David Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Crowd is looking pretty decent so far, hoping for at least 12k for the victory game
