Boban Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 He was brilliant last night! Not just his goals but his assists and attempted assists. There is no doubt about his skill on the ball and ability to beat a player, it's always been his finishing, Not that there was anything wrong with it last night. Briiiiidgeeeey, Briiiidgeeeey......
shakeyourface Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 He was a total different player last night which was brilliant for the team. Hope that he keeps up his form!
MCHammer Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 He was banging them in during the warm up and I turned to my mate and said 'bridgeys gonna have a good game' how right I was
Malone Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 would just like to echo Konsequences comments in the WSW character thread, i really hope we can give Bridgey a rousing reception next home game he deserves it.
Lmc Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 How good is it that he can score three amazing goals, and then to leave that ball for Joey to bang in. Could have quite easily popped it in himself but instead drew all defense to him to leave an open goal for Gibbs to put in the back of the net. What a legend.
ManfredSchaefer Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Is there any more schizo player in the HAL than Bridgey? He's our top goal scorer and has shown he knows how to find the net, but at the same time can make you want to throw a brick through your TV or leap over the fence and kick him in the date. It was as if against the Meow bad Bridgey came on before kick-off then was substituted by good Bridgey by Popa at half time.
julyaugustreno Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Agreed MS - he showed last night that when he's calm and collected, he can hit the target. When he shits himself in front of goal, he hits them into row Z.

When he shits himself in front of goal, he hits them into row Z. Where I find him really frustrating is is decision making when moving up on the flank, not so much when in front of the goal. In the game against CCM he seemed to lack awareness of how and when to use the ball, and in the first half against the Meow he was again experiencing difficulties when it came to distribute or shoot. Having said that he showed again whilst he is not a brilliant individual player he seems to fit into the overall jigsaw that is WSW under Popa.
wswfc Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Brilliant goal from Bridgey tonight! He had a fair few chances, but full credit to him, he does score them when they matter.
GunnerWanderer Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Brilliant goal from Bridgey tonight! He had a fair few chances, but full credit to him, he does score them when they matter. Showed great strength and composure. Syd FC fans must be spewing he did sweet F all for them for his time there.

Maybe Syd FC fans should be spewing that their coaches couldn't do what Popa's done with Bridgey! First comp goal, first away goal, first hat-trick, last night's gem . . . it's all coming together for him (or he's all coming together for it, or somthing). - Michael

His goal last night would have to be up there in our top 5 for the season...great strength, great skill, impeccable footwork and a finishing shot that was impeccable.
shakeyourface Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Definitely one of the players who impressed me with the Wanderers. I never liked him when I watched him play for SFC and Jets but he's seriously proved me wrong (which I'm glad).
Jaggy Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 He has scored in grand finals twice in the past, let's hope this year history repeats. Mark Bridge, Mark Bridge Super Mark Bridge he gets the ball, he scores a goal Super Mark Bridge.

Neverbloom Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 lol i love all the negativity when he was signed from many people(including myself) but he has been going really well for most of the year and i am happy for him he deserves it
Borogz Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Dear Mr Bridge. I would like to offer a sincere apologies for the negative comments I expressed when you signed for WSW. I know understand these comments were naive and ignorant. Your play this season has been outstanding, up there with some of the best perforances in the league. Your assist last night was a beautiful ball. Your hatrick against Adeliade also being a particular highlight. It is now clear to me that your time at ESFC was soul destroying. All you really needed was some faith in you as a player. I look forward to our continuing ongoing relationship with WSW. Yours Failthfully Borogz.
GunnerWanderer Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 yes plus 1 there.....i thought he was going to be rubbish too. I'd buy u a beer bridgey but your off them!
marron Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I love hearing comments about bridge from sydney fc fans. "why were you so **** for us" is the general message and yet they don't seem to want to look hard enough to find the answer to that question. Anyway his pass to Dino's head was brilliant, loved it, as was his ball through for Haliti. I wish he would go for the first time shot/pass more often. Something happens to his control when he tries to control it for himself.
WanderersFC Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I guess i fall in this category. Why the f... did they sign him. And look now, seems just that ESFC didn't know how to use their players, actually make that still don't know how to use them.

What do you expect from a club that has all the tactical and coaching consistency of a an under-7s team run by a drunk going through the DTs...their attitude is "Hey, let's buy this player/coach and see if that works...oh fucq it doesn't...all out, all change." Bridgey showed last night he doesn't have to take wild and woolly shots or bang in a superb goal to make an impact...his touch on the ball through to Haliti was spot on.

They think money can get you titles. Unfortunately it can't, but they haven't realised that yet. I don't think anyone will complain if we don't win a title in 5 years but keep playing the way we are now. As long as everyone gives there all on the field I'm happy, and this year they did just that and more. You can't ask for more.

sydneycroatia58 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Well done to Bridgey yesterday, who with his goal moved above Alex Brosque and into outright 5th position in the all time A-League top scorers with 39 goals.
JamCal Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Did anyone else genuinely think he was going to miss? Well done Bridgey. You continue to prove me wrong every ******* week. hero.

I'll admit I was a bit worried, mainly because I can't remember him ever taking a penalty before, but boy did he prove me wrong.
