MathyouWSW Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 We playing against him next weekend.I can't f*cking stand him. I think the confident has got to him and he acts a bit too cocky now.

He's so quiet and shy. He's definitely got his confidence back when playing, from when he lost it when he was with us - but I'd hardly call him cocky. wendybr, Nathg, Kizza and 4 others 7

Yeah his character is one reason why the decision to go overseas is so important. It's brutal in Europe and if he's in the wrong environment his shyness could hinder him. The next phase of his career is going to be really interesting. Prydzopolis, wendybr and teddies 3

Prydzopolis Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Still goes missing when the heat is on...i thought we played fantastic with him on the pitch for most of last night.Missing? Bit harsh... He really struggled last night because we weren't allowing him the space on the ball to either take players on or make a spectacular pass. In saying that, his set pieces were absolutely insane & caused us plenty of issues. It was the way we played the game & took it to city that prevented there key players making a bigger impact. In the end, 4-3 didn't reflect how we dominated large parts of the game but at the same time showed that with this type of city team they are so dangerous in attack that they were close to getting something out of the game. West13 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I stand by him going missing when heat was on. Yep can whip a corner. But he doesnt dominate huge matches when his team is squeezed. He doesnt work back much (probably told to sit high anyway) and doesnt assume control of a match. In first 75 minutes yesterday.. as best aussie player in a-league, what inspiration did he give his team? He is their most important player.. more shpuld be expected in huge games. ManfredSchaefer Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 As I pull the splinters out of my arse from teh fence sitting, I agree with what West13 and Prydz has said. He was closed down and he had some great set pieces. However if he is as good as all his worshipers proclaim, he should be able to shrug off those problems and impose himself on a game. The more I watch of him the more I wonder if his temperament and talent is as mixed as Carney's and Holman's. Both of those guys could make you scratch your head at how good they could be. On the other hand when the head went down it took a major miracle to pull it back up. Mooy needs to find another coach who can resolve the reticence he carries over from his personal life onto the ground, without stifling his creativity. For the interest of the Socceroos we need him to develop further and get better, for the A-League it won't hurt either. Prydzopolis, Alexander, ptwsw and 2 others 5
lloydy136 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 his cranky petulant boot of the ball into the stands in injury time when the second one got thrown onto the pitch was a particular highlight of last night. Prydzopolis, marron, Alexander and 1 other 4
Prydzopolis Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Manfred, really like the comment that he needs a manager who turns Mooy into a mongrel on the field. Reminds me of Hazard, hasn't got that ego similar to ronaldo, Messi etc that can carry the team on his back in the big occasions. I stand by him going missing when heat was on. What exactly are you saying though? Are you saying:- He goes missing when teams put pressure on him & suffocate his space/room? - He goes missing when the big teams play (Victory, Brisbane, WSW)? In all honesty, I think it's his preference & the coaches instructions to stay high. He doesn't drop deep to do much defensive work nor does he like to drop too deep to get the ball. This makes it difficult for him to dominate games. I agree with your fact that when pressed he can't effect the game as much & I think this is why he does much better against the teams in the bottom of the table. I disagree he is the most important player, definitely the most influential midfielder but it's how he works with Novillo & Fornaroli is the most important factor. On his day he can be the best Australian player in the aleague but I don't know if he has the personality to take the game by the scruff of the neck & dominate the game. ptwsw and wendybr 2

Davo Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 If getting three assists and setting up two more shots at goal is going missing I wish some of our players went missing more often... DinoPresinger and TehSmileyBandit 2
TehSmileyBandit Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 The more I watch of him the more I wonder if his temperament and talent is as mixed as Carney's and Holman's. Aaron has more class in his left sock than these two combined. If getting three assists and setting up two more shots at goal is going missing I wish some of our players went missing more often... Jeez, you're always the voice of reason Davo. Shows how good the lad is if everyone is talking about how quiet he was in this game. When King Mitch goes missing, even the tumbleweeds take the ball off him (and I LOVE King Mitch, before anyone complains). DinoPresinger, Edinburgh, Prydzopolis and 1 other 4
