Montalbano Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Yeah congratulations. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Notice he was born in Wakeley which is where I used to live highbury 1

Jaggy Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Great news of Beauchamp resigning, he has been out standing in the role of Skipper and a pillar in defence. to the tune of "winter wonderland" There's only one Michael Beauchamp, one Michael Beauchamp his nick-name is Meggs, He'll break both your legs walking in a Beauchamp Wonderland.
aussieowl87 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 He was immense in Wellington was miles better than NTS. only NTS scored and therefore got more votes
AliFarhat Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 He was immense in Wellington was miles better than NTS. only NTS scored and therefore got more votes Agreed. Although I think Topor gets more recognition because he has a cool name and hair.
ManfredSchaefer Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Michael's interviewed on the ABC Grandstand Radio podcast The Back Post today, and this'll be available for download from here: http://www.abc.net.au/news/sport/programs/the-back-post/
Toffeestu Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 How underrated has beauchamp been this season. Almost flown under the radar with NTS's stunning form. Absoloute WALL in defence. CB pairing of the season with NTS.
wswnick Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Agreed. Those slide tackles of his are precise every time.
Mazza Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 How underrated has beauchamp been this season. Almost flown under the radar with NTS's stunning form. Absoloute WALL in defence. CB pairing of the season with NTS. Totally agree and add to that the fact he is Captain of the squad. He is the type of person who does not seek the limelight and as such his deeds go unnoticed by many.
ManfredSchaefer Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I'll admit I've been one of many who have been perhaps dazzled by the work of Polenz, Hersi, Ono, Poljak, Mooy, NTS etc etc and forgotten about the captain. He's just been there as solid as a bloody rock, doing what needs to be done quietly and efficiently, no BS, no histrionics. I remember he was to some extent hard done by when he went to the Bundesliga and thought he had become a bit of a lost cause...but Nurnberg's loss (via Denmark and Heart) is our gain.
TehSmileyBandit Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Re-watched our last two matches (Heart and CCM) and Meggsy makes NTS look good. He's positionally very sound.
ManfredSchaefer Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Vote for Beauchamp as the All-Stars captain...part of the Wanderers Wall out the back and the man knows how to marshal the troops and get people going in the right direction...
ManfredSchaefer Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Already did! Got NTS on the bench too. NTS on the bench??? Ye gods, have you been sniffing glue? Now D'Apuzzo on the bench I could understand...but NTS?? :shok:
mick9619 Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 hope he scores against esfc again, 90th minute winner, rbb end... fairytale stuff right there
Burztur Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 He has a nice article in SMH today about the derby.
ManfredSchaefer Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 He has a nice article in SMH today about the derby. Nicely written yes...and literate. Whilst over in the Tele all they could get was cliched guff from Mr 'Please Blow Into The Bag' Cranky Franky...
Boban Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 he was amazing last night. best on ground for me He is better than NTP for mine. As a pair they are the best in the league by far.
ManfredSchaefer Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 he was amazing last night. best on ground for me He is better than NTP for mine. As a pair they are the best in the league by far. And as a pair should've formed the back pair for the Socceroos last Tuesday night (excluding Beauchamp's injury)...thank goodness Holger let us keep them
KillerK Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Was standing at the fence next to his dad yesterday when he came to say thank you to his parents for coming up to watch the game. Had my 5 year old with me, michael's dad was rightly proud to say " that 's my son" to me. Very touching moment my wife nearly shed a tear.
giggs11 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Super defender. Never forget his game against Serbia at the World Cup.
Pontiff05 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Beauchamps has been our best defender all year. Precise tackling and great positioning. We struggle in the back when he doesnt play.
TehSmileyBandit Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Has not received the kudos he deserves because hyphen has played every match. Iv said since about halfway though that hyphen doesn't play as well when Meggsy's not there. Positionally, he is far superior.
