mack Posted November 22, 2012 Author Posted November 22, 2012 Was named as available in the squad listing released today, presumably having recovered from his injury.
Erebus Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I thought he was on u20 Socceroo duties? Or did he pick up and injury during the qualifiers?
Pup55 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 (edited) he scored twice a few weeks back with the youth team, and then was away with Aussie duties as far as i was aware Edited November 23, 2012 by Pup
mack Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 I thought he was on u20 Socceroo duties? Or did he pick up and injury during the qualifiers? I'm pretty sure he was injured earlier in the season. Might have missed the U20 stuff.
Kizza Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Fox was saying he was on u20 duties. Confusion.
Neverbloom Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 imo we have not seen enough of him this season he looks promising

Flytox Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Reece was named in the Young Socceroos squad for the World Cup today. Congratulations to the lad.
mack Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 If the 5 man bench is brought in he could see some action, with Elrich gone, Caira should get some time via squad rotation as the sub fullback, or even as a starter in a handful of games or if Cole or D'Apuzzo's form drops.
Brinck Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I read in the 442 forums that Reece Caira was trialling with Wellington? Anybody heard of this?

mack Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 Update on his status: Reece Caira is still a contracted player at the club, however he has been allowed to seek opportunity at another club and if a suitable club is found the club, player and management will discuss that if it comes in.
Neverbloom Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 its a pity he hasnt got a great run with us so far, looked impressive what we have seen of him and would rather him stay here but i understand why he wants to find another club
theguyyouwishyouwere Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 did we give a good cheer when his name was read out on sunday?
Guest ZipGunBop Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I applauded. Felt like the only one tho. TBH I was just happy no-one booed.
pushiepedlar Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I didn't notice it. The average punter wouldn't have known who he was. I was polite until he hacked at Hersi and then started time wasting on throw ins, then starting yelling at him "No wander popa let you go! You time wasting hack" much to the bemusement of the new members in our bay. mack 1
Burztur Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 There were boos. I asked him to throw the match for us.
theguyyouwishyouwere Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 There were boos. I asked him to throw the match for us. and he marked hersi almost completly out of the game. well done.
Kizza Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 dont get the point in booing, not like he left for better wages or because he had issues with the club. kid just wasnt playing/good enough.
102megan Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 dont get the point in booing, not like he left for better wages or because he had issues with the club. kid just wasnt playing/good enough. I agree. It's a great thing that he's still playing in the A-League, and that NIX are able to give him that chance. See, if he'd gone to our cross-city rivals, of ESFC, THEN it would be a completely different story!

pseudonym Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Caira out for the remainder of the season due to a fractured cheekbone. http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/a-league/news/1183374/Caira-out-for-the-the-season
mack Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 Released a year early by Wellington. If he goes to a club who play him as a Midfielder not a fullback he might find another club.
