matty Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I heard Mooy wasn't overtly amazing apart from a few nice touches and some other movements. Ill be interested to see how he performs against an A-league side Your information is wrong. He lost the ball once (trying to hold it up with two on him), other than that his positional play was brilliant and he was the fulcrum for most things the side did, a class above. I trust my source. A football coach for the past 16 years, he knows his **** (and isn't bias) He says Mooy for all his decent touches look off the pace at times. I tend to trust his judgement, but would prefer to see him play in person. Even so, was he a class above a rather poor outfit? Perspective changes alot of things The Blacktown Demons actually played quite well in the first half. They certainly provided better competition than the last two outfits. I have no idea how they are going this year but they have a very good reputation locally. I think our squad of misfits are performing well and can only be gaining much needed experience together. Considering the lack of information we all have at this stage I think it is a bit early to be making judgements. We should have a much better idea of player quality once we come up against Sydney United, but again even by that stage we probably won't have our squad locked down. And as an example of people reading too much into things. Whether we are whipping boys this season or not I couldn't care less. But trying to make assertions like this so far out from the season, lol. Could I please borrow your crystal ball? I need to put some money on this years winner. As posted by Aussierus on FFT: Mooy was ok but held the ball for too long. Too slow for a-league. Will get hammered. Basically a 2-0 scoreline against what was also the majority of the Blacktown City U/20's side means wanderers will be A-leagues new whipping boys this year. Blacktown had most of the posession throughout the game but didn't have the firepower upfront to capitalise on the possession. Wanderers really only had 2 shots for 2 quality goals. Definately wouldn't pay to watch the wanderers in a-league this year. (Except to watch kwabena) the rest are very average players with little to no talent. Do you agree with him SW? According to him, our shots to goals ratio was 100%, bloody generous lad.
rekaf Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Thanks for someone eventually answering me, as to who number 5 was. If number 5 is Caira, he seems a very poor signing.
Redhead Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 According to someone called Julie Caira, Caira was No 19. A comment on the WSWFC Facebook page.
rekaf Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Well lets hope so. It would be good to know what players were trialling, and what numbers they were.

Hahaha I posted that up as an example of people reading too much into things making foolish statements. I absolutely do not agree with those statements. I'm with everyone else Mooy is class.
LesBear Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Letting off flares are a guarantee that you will be escorted off the ground and probabably banned from future matches. CCTV at Parramatta ( as well as all other A-league stadia)are pretty much full on so not much chance of anomininity. Besides, nobody wants another Hillsborough Tragedy, especially in our own backyard so, from a fellow wog-NO FLARES!!!!!
RBBKopite Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Les, Hillsborough had nothing to do with flares and everything to do with a catastrophic failure of crowd management systems and processes that were the responsibility of the police and stewards. Your comment has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
MarcelFC Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I heard the Red and Black Army were supposed to make an appearance at the game. Did they?

StillWandering Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Im a wog so i might be biased but i dont see the problem with a flare or 2, you can buy them from any outdoor place like anaconda or BCF, just adds to the atmosphere, imagine when its time for our 1st game at parra with the RBB in a sea of red & black chanting away, we need to make an impression, & show pppl we mean business, a little bit of red smoke never hurt anybody? Lol Letting off flares are a guarantee that you will be escorted off the ground and probabably banned from future matches. To be fair some other stooge brought it up.
matty Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Anyway, back on topic... Having a team sheet before the game starts would be awesome. I spent half the game trying to work a few numbers out, to no avail
wasp Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I enjoyed the match, appeared better movement overall. With more time together it just helps and game time is critical like this and the other two. Enjoy my short video i took of the RBB in the second half. Link
