Sorry, but your misinformed opinions of that site are purely because you ran your mouth on there, and thus were treated accordingly. I'd expect the same treatment if i did so here.

 

 

1. We don't 'hate' people from the west, you'd be quite surprised a fair chunk of us ARE westies in some form, so. . . . . .

3. A team for the east only. Despite the fact that we draw at least 40-50%(ish) of our supporters from places almost directly west of the CBD?

I remember skimming through Jowel's posts on their forum a while ago (had to skim read, if you spend too long reading that site your brain starts to leak out of your ear). It seemed like they completely missed the point. He wasn't saying that they can't sing chants about people from the west, he was just asking a question about what's going to happen to their supporters out west when, on the one hand they're being told that Sydney FC is the club for all of Sydney, and on the other being openly mocked by their fellow supporters at games. They didn't like that question and decided he was a troll even though it's a perfectly valid question and one they couldn't really answer. Also there's a big difference between Western Sydney and "west of the CBD" but if 50% of Sydney FC supporters are from the west then that makes Jowel's question even more valid.

TBF Jowel you re-ignited a discussion that had been done to death when 'Sydney Rovers' were on the scene. We are basically over the whole "Which demographic supports who, and what it means to those that dont, etc . . .

 

Just move on from it, and focus on your own club now that does exist, and is in the early stages of setting up a supporters base. Simple really

to be fair, it's really just mack now, I 'resigned' haha. I'm not on here enough and would prefer to just blend in with the crowd. Mack DOES do an excellent job though, and Jowel is right - mack doesn't have proverbial eyes in the back of his head, so the report button should be used if you see fit. He himself has been in strife for calling people trolls. That situation was rectified and I'm not sure if the people involved still post or not but either way, unfortunately the old 'but its the internet!' excuse doesn't cut it on here.

 

I personally wouldn't report a post such as the one you mentioned above disco, cos I'm not offended by it. If I was a mod I'd probably have to do something about it though.

Okay, I think you're misunderstanding me. I'm not offended & haven't been offended by anything posted on this forum. I give almost as much as I get ; ) I actually enjoy it (yes, I love verbal debate, so what!) People have their opinion. That's cool. Yes, sometimes it sucks that some people get all defensive and/or offensive when their opinion is challenged. That's their problem. As long as it doesn't lead to violence, it's all good with me. I also think Mack does an outstanding job on an outsanding site. I only brought this up as, ironically, it was three posts above Jowel's comment about being lambasted on the Cove forum. Just saying that every garden has its flowers & weeds... the Cove, WSF, everyone... deep. Try not to think so far into that I'm somehow attacking Mack or Jowel or anyone, as that's not the intention at all.

Don't take my comments the wrong way.

This forum has a private board and you can only gain access to that section by invitation from Mack or your credentals are validated by someone who already has access.

I'm sure that the Supporters Group working parties, which we intend to discuss on Saturday night shall utilise this facility for private discussions (Tifo designs, chant selection, etc) going forward.
