Maybe, just maybe, the truck can drive back up a little later on Saturday than was planned. :)

Can't hang around for the gig I'm afraid, but *maybe* I can make the match.

AIS are honking this season. Are they packed full of 16-17 yr olds?

Yeah. They are kids in the AIS program, no over-age players at all and anyone with any major skill usually ends up moving to an actual A-League club very soon so they are all good youth players, but are rarely the absolute best of the bunch. The A-League teams often have 3 or 4 over-age first team players so they are usually physically, technically and creatively outmatched. It's a harsh way to learn that even if you're playing in a national setup, it doesn't mean you're any good right then and there.

Yep - quite true. Interesting to note though, that our Jakob Williams,Yiannis Perkatis and Daniel Barac all played for the AIS last season. Good up and coming players.

I got there 15 mins late and missed two goals haha. There were a LOT of people in AIS trackies watching, whereas I thought there'd be nobody there, so it was good. It was free entry and a great pitch, but I had two longjump pits, a pole vault mat and 8 lanes of athletic track between me and the game, so that kinda sucked. I thought gibbs was out there but couldn't tell if it was him or not until he got subbed.

Solid effort by the wanderers boys though. Could easily have got to about 8-5 though haha, AIS smacked the post and missed a lot of opportunities, as did wanderers.
