Paul01 Posted January 17, 2020 From club article The Red & Black will be without talented shot-stopper Abby Smith. Scans have confirmed that Smith suffered an injury to her knee during the Wanderers Round 9 clash against Brisbane Roar at Marconi Stadium and will be out for the next four weeks. StringerBellend 1

bombagol Posted January 19, 2020 The girls are really worth watching. They have what the men's team doesn't: quality players. Watching the girls gets me through the tough times caused by the men's team. StringerBellend 1

Can't see us taking out the comp without these 2 O'Sullivan has completed her guest stint. Lynn Williams will miss at least 1 if not 2 games. With Raso gone from the Roar and Foord from the Smurfs, they are both weakened. The run to the finals is R11 v Adelaide (25-Jan) Away [Uswnt play games on the 29/01, 01/02, 04/02. Probably Williams will miss only the Adelaide game due to the international break on the first weekend of Feb for the W-League due to Olympic Qualifying for the Matilda's] R12 v Smurfs (15-Feb) away R13 v Heartle$$ (20-Feb) home R14 v Perth (29-Feb) away Edited January 19, 2020 by Paul01 Added info
Wanderingbeersclub Posted January 19, 2020 Spoke to Erica Halloway yesterday. ACL and out for up to a year. Abbie Smith reckons she is 4 weeks away though some others seemed to think she was being optimistic and 5-7 might be closer to the mark. So neither of them for the run home, No O'Sullivan and Williams out for a few. Still positive though. That team is the opposite of the men. A real tight unit. Great team morale and positive and pro-active coaching team. Paul01 1

Paul01 Posted January 20, 2020 Watched the highlights and saw that Amy Harrison was captain and played Right Back. With all the injuries and international duty, Alix Roberts to return to RB. Harrison to replace O'Sullivan in the CDM position. With Courtney Vine getting her first goal, it means all the forwards have scored.
