HT: Wanderers 0 - Tigers 2

The Wanderers dominated until the 8th minute.

A Tigers play took a shot and was blocked by a Wanderers player, the ball went to Rose and he immediately sprinted and took the ball down their half.

From the 11th minute to 23th minute, the Wanderers had 7...yes, 7 corner kicks. One corner attempt around the 24th minute. it looked like it went in. All the Wanderers players had their hands at the ref but it was not allowed and I think the ref made the right call.

Around the 30th minute is when the Tigers took it into full gear. The Tigers did a cross to a Tigers player to which took a goal attempt and Warshawsky stopped it. However, the ball was still in play to which another Tigers player managed to get the ball, kick and score it at the 32nd minute.

Tigers 2nd goal was quite spectacular. A Tigers defender sees one of their wingers or the striker not even marked so he lobs it to him, Natta is by himself to defend which he can't and the striker easily scores their goal around the 38th minute.

It's gonna be a miracle for the Wanderers to win from here.

GOAL! Wanderers

The Wanderers finally get a gap and Malbasa gets the ball so is all alone, side-steps the goalkeeper and scores an open netter.

Wanderers 1 - Tigers 2

FT: Wanderers 1 - Tigers 2

Their defence and Goalkeeper played superb today.

That win for the Tigers now makes them leaders on 13 with a 6 point gap from the Wanderers on 9 points in 2nd spot. The Wanderers will play the Central Coast Mariners away which currently sit in 3rd. That game will be on a Sunday at 3pm.

With four promotion spots it's not the end of the world but you'd want to stay in the top 2 to feel comfortable.

League 2 (3rd tier) has 8 promotion spots to make up for the 4 teams going into the NPL, leaving 4 teams leftover and then move all the League 3 teams into League 2 so it's three leagues of 16 teams.

I did not know this...interesting stuff.

There's still plenty of rounds to go but the Wanderers are in a good spot for now.
