If we are going to win, please make it a full 90 minute performance, or close to it.

That might show the fans Robbo is starting to turn the ship around.

Im highly doubtful it will happen, but it will then save us trying to rebuild or find a new manager.

The results have flattered and deceived, the performances have been terrible.

Its about time we beat the Bulls and started dominating in this so called (fake, manufactured) 'derby'.

Seen zero evidence there's anything to look forward to this weekend. Williams, Rodwell and Hemed are going to need a chiropractor by week 10 if they have to keep carrying 8 other players

Its not just any "women's match" either, its the Sydney Derby!

Is it? Ok coming early now.

The timing of the double header is poor. 5:00 and 7:45. There's around an hour in between games. They were never that far apart. Not appealing to be there around 4.5 hours.

If we're lucky the game will get abandoned at ht due to rain/lightning when we're only 2 goals down.

Maybe, I did say in an earlier post "no more excuses" however, I forgot about the Ref.....With 90+4 on the clock (and nil all) Bulls will get dodgy penalty or we will have a dead set penalty overturned by VAR.

It's probably wanting to avoid any weather delays for the W-League creating a knock on effect of a delay in the men's game. Half hour spare in case of weather then half hour for the men's warm up.

Hope there are pass outs

If I remember correctly, they stopped those during Covid?

Tbh, It disappoints me that we all feel like this going into a game like this against a new club, with generally no confidence of winning. A home game at that as well with arguably the best squad we have had in years.

The one serious bonus we had in our formative years was the pride in the west. The fight to win every single game and give the fans that turned up something to be proud of, and every week, the hope of a win These days I go to matches hoping we won't lose.

It's been a long time since I've seen a Wanderers side play with the passion that we saw then. I will never, ever forget Polenz and La Rocca (among many others), and what they contributed in their short stint here. Imports that gave a ****. They were our honey bee workers.

CR certainly talks the talk and claims to understand the culture. LOLOL! Let's not even talk about his squad selection and formations and game day tactics.

Maybe it's time we give a guy like Crittenden, a local, a chance. Basically, a nobody, instead of bringing in international coaches.

What do we have to lose?

Yeah we're pretty bad. We lost to an NPL side.

Let's talk about things with a higher chance of happening:

So, inspired by last home game's marriage proposal: what do we think of me trying to find that beautiful brunette woman that was looking in my direction last week? I'm thinking of going up and saying hi and then hopefully she can come join me at my pre-match meals on a future date (double meaning intended) :meep::wub:

Maybe next time I rock up to Restaurant 317, the waiter won't literally ask me, "oh are you dining by yourself?" yeah thanks for reminding me :(

If you think we still have any chance of winning this game given our current performances, wait until you hear who the referee is.

The return of Chris Beath...

Source?

Beath would have to fly-in, fly-out on match, so i don't think he would be put through that.

Why is everyone laughing....?

I guess it is a bit like the Boro chicken run terrace dark humour that I grew up with type vibe lol Even in the darkest of times someone on the terrace would come up with something that would get everyone laughing, or a brutal put down that was so bad or shocking would make people laugh..that kinda thing :D

Man..looking back some of those guys were freakin poets I tell you lol

If someone asked me what Middlesbrough sense of humour is like then this is it…dark, cynical, brutal but also funny lol

Yeah that was an unfair omission. He's performed well above what all of us expected. I remember when he was recruited everyone basically said "meh, squaddie".

I'd be extremely worried going into a game without him now

Ok 3-0 to us sexual football with a Jack Rodwell goal from stupid distance as the first

We will be pathetic in the first half and go a goal down. We will finally wake up after the 70th min and put some pressure on, 1-1 around 75th min.

We will look most likely for the winner but run out of time.

Draw.

Sounds about right to me. Colour me surprised if we put any actual effort in for the first 60 minutes

The squad and Robinson will be going into this game licking their wounds after the pathetic performance on Tuesday against the FFA cup tie against APIA Leichhardt.

The squad that was in the starting XI on Tuesday night are most likely not going to play against Macarthur FC or they'll be on the bench as a substitute. Some of them might of probably played their last game for the season as well (unless someone from the starting XI starts to play on par with the performance they did on Tuesday night).

No matter what (HA! typical Robinson quote), the squad should be going into this game fired up and wanting to take the 3 points.

Macarthur FC will be going into this game with the same confidence after they lost against Sydney FC in their FFA cup 2-0 at extra time and also down 10 men. Youngster Antonis Martis is the player that took the red card in the FFA cup tie so he'll most likely miss out this game.

Wanderers predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Meijas (GK), Traore, Williams, Koutroumbis, Aquilina, Ugarkovic, Antonis, Ogawa, Rodwell, Ibini, Hemed
Subs: Warshawsky (GK), Mourdoukoutas, Najjarine, Russell, Petratos, Lopane, Badolato

Bulls predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Kurto (GK), Susjnar, Jovanovic, Uskok, Najjar, Meredith, Mutch, M'Mombwa, Noone, De Silva, Davila, Lachlan Rose
Subs: Suman (gk), J.McGing, Oar, Hollman, Liam Rose, Ruhs, Al Toure

Predicted Score: Wanderers 2-1
