Looking at the table, then the fixtures for this weekend - our season could well depend on the outcome of this round.

If we lose then all 5 teams directly below us would leapfrog us with a win (or potentially a draw for 3 of them). Worst case scenario is we drop to 9th.

Compounding this would be that of those 5 teams, all but Adelaide have 2 or more games in hand. It’s not looking pretty.

We desperately need to win otherwise our fate is pretty much in the hands of others.

First interstate Game. Coming off the back of 2 losses and sub optimal performances !.  Big test for Players and Coach.   Got to admit not confident. As mentioned already bet  Rudan, Diamanti, Berisha  and co cant wait to get at us....

We need to buy a decent centre back and send McGowan packing, we are going no where with the mix we have at the centre of defence. I am convinced our midfield and forwards will produce the goods when all players are match fit but we need to strengthen the defence.

I am scared of what Western United may do to us this Sunday based on our form.

If Robinson is still in charge next season he needs to clear out two current centre backs, Simon Cox is a great guy but can't see how he can kept on past this season, quite a few others as well. He needs to be ruthless with the culling and also ditch three at the back, should only be used as a last resort.

The obviously people to leave are Georgievski, Mutch if he doesn't show anything in the rest of the season, Grozos, Yeboah, Duke will probably try to find another club OS, Muller, Zieglar, Cancar and Cox.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see another sweep done towards the squad next season.

The centre backs that are currently signed till the end of this season are Patrick Ziegler, Phillip Cancar and Mark Natta. Out of those three, I think it's quite obvious that Ziegler depart from the club at the end of the season.

I would love if we played 4-2-3-1 from the outset. Just ONCE! At least then we could make some kind of qualified judgment. Seems to me that is far and away the best formation to suit our roster

You can add Troisi to that list as well, Muller I think is close to our best attacking weapon when fit, but if we can find a top class number 9 and a reliable centre half next season  that would help things a lot.

Robinson switched to 4 at the back in the last game (way too late) when Ziggy came off. So u never know, he might change it eventually.

WU play 352 as well, so basically we could just play what we have been playing. Don’t think we have played against many teams yet that play 352 ( Newcastle??).

Are City still playing 3 ATB or have switched under Kisnorbo?

Troisi is on a two year deal for some stupid reason.

McGowan is captain this season so basically at WSW that means he will be gone next season haha

From memory in the last two games we've conceded early, and have had to chase from the outset. WU will throw the kitchen sink press at us in the first 15, as they know we are slow starters and they die away in the last quarter. If I was coach, I'd be saying that playing out from the back during the first 15 is a recipe for disaster as our defence are alseep and our strategy needs to stop weathering the attack. We need to be playing long and shift our first line of defense up the field - if we're going to give up possession then do it in their half, not constantly in our defensive 3rd.

The amount of times I'm screaming at the screen for margush to send it long is ridiculous. Just punt it son, don't pass it to one of the backs that have a man on him! Use your brain.

Really looking forward to seeing the same formation with a rotation of the same players doing the same thing. Will I be wrong?

The following NPL2 line up is interesting

Starting XI: O. Kalac, T. Mourdoukoutas, J. Carluccio, N. Triantis, M. Al Taay, J. O’Doherty, A. Lesiotis , K. Grozos, I. Hovar, A. Lopane, A. Auglah

Tass is getting back to match fitness, O'Doherty hasn't got a spot in the first team with Troisi, Baccus, Dorrans and Mutch as the nominal midfielders, K Grozos is on the downslope to being released at the end of the season, Cancar was in the NPL2 registered squad but not either of these so I guess he's injured.

Looks like we'll have the exact same squad as from Tuesday.

Yep that’s it. I would play either troisi or Cox ahead of O’Doherty but the rest is spot on

You could come up with a decent 2nd eleven too
