You are definitely elusive, and no-one here will see you, but I suspect that you and "the lad" will be there! ;)

Just watching the daily press conference.

Mixed messages, really.

The cricket is getting a fair bit of cover, but not our game (no surprise), regarding being "Covid safe".

ABC News - Gladys:

"The risks in Greater Sydney and greater New South Wales are almost as high as the southern bit of the Northern Beaches, not quite there yet, but obviously that is something for us to consider. I am asking everybody across the state to be on high alert."

and ...

Ms Berejiklian said the current health advice was that the Test is safe to proceed with 50 per cent crowd capacity.

...

so what are you meant to do with these statements? :unknw:

Yes...exactly.

It's basically..."We'd prefer you to stay at home for all but essential reasons, stay within your family groupings if at a gathering, but it's OK to be amongst 10s of thousands at the Cricket...and Wanderers...what's Wanderers?"

Interesting to note that there is no one unavailable, however I see no Phillip Cancar in the squad?

No Kamau either. Vedran is still recovering from a second surgery, can't see him playing for us ever again.

Vedran still has this season and next season to go on his contract. He had a severe rotator cuff injury that was made worse by playing on painkillers (another brilliant choice from our medical staff to go with the entire Ziggy saga) and had a very new type of collagen implant surgery. If we're having his wages covered by insurance then the club & Vedran are likely perfectly happy for him to take the recovery as slowly as possible considering the damage and the nature of the surgery. Wouldn't be surprised if he takes this entire season off as well and then eases into a 2nd choice backup spot before retiring at the end of 2022.

Is this why you can't buy tickets to any of the Newcastle games.

Ahhh...good point.

Might be that they're just waiting to see what will happen with the Covid cluster here before they potentially import WSW supporters to Newcastle??

That's fair enough, but tell people on your websites (Newcastle Jets, Ticketmaster, A-League) that at this point in time and why tickets are not available for purchase.

Pure speculation on our part here, but yes, if  that's a factor at play, it should put out there.
