RBB made statement on Facebook. They left after some members got kicked out of the stadium and handed bans after yelling abuse at the players in the tunnel at half time.

<sigh>

they were saying something like: "where's the passion boys?!"

bans are harsh as i wouldn't call it abuse

Imagine how many would be marched out and banned if the same policing was at your average AFL, or NRL game....

If we have the same defensive display against Victory , we will get hammered.

You can throw **** at the refs and players in the NRL and all you'll cop is a 6 month ban if they bother identifying you from the footage. And that's only if you actually hit someone.

The RBB had already decided to sit in silence until the players decided to show an inkling of life. The incarceration of two and eventual twelve month stadium ban of one led to the walkout. I think fans across all codes have coached their players at halftime tunnel walks and not been banned. Whether you agree or not on whether this helps is irrelevant what is is the right to voice an opinion or sit in silence.

Is that all it was? Are you sure? I yell a lot worse from the sideline.

Bit harsh on Llorente, down the wing and putting crosses in he was ok.

Still want him Hammill and Elrich out by Monday though.

yep i sit by the tunnel behind the away bench for home games.

I was sitting right next to them as they came up to the tunnel  yelling . No swearing but was really an appalling verbal  attack , very aggressive in your face .

Personally im quite happy for these negative ****s to be banned  , sick of these  cocks whinging like babies  every time something goes wrong on the pitch .

Gotta lay part of the blame on Babbel.

Last game and tonight we've had numerical advantage and Babbel has NOT adapted to the situation. Our team the wayit is, is lacking leadership. Babbel should be yelling encouragement or advice for the whole game. Our players are all pathetic, timid eunichs. We need someone on field as well as the coach kicking our boys up the bum.

I don't give a poo what Babbel wears. He needs to earn his keep. So far he is not.

A sort of comparison in situation is Leeds Utd.

Last year they finished 13th amid all sorts of internal club strife. They sacked the coach and brought in Marcelo Bielsa who, in 6 months, with pretty much the same group of players that played last year are now 1st.

The main change is Bielsa has brought in a change of mentality and self belief.

Babbel has brought ???

I saw a video on twitter and there are right next to a group of security guards and police, who seemingly did nothing at least initially. Looks like it's going to be another overblown "the RBB are the bad guys" storm in a teacup.

Ah ok. I don't think that's ok. I would have thought just asking them to leave would be a better response. There was a lot of frustration in the stadium tonight.

You're ignoring our Elrich, Llorente, Hamill backline. Hamills captain ffs and he wouldn't make any other teams roster. Oh and Rieras lost the plot. I don't think with his current scorers block many teams would be eager for his services.

I wanted Tate Russell on at 60 minutes. Elrich should not start over Russell, Cordier or Llorente.

Imagine if we hacked them like they hacked us. We would have been down to 7 men.

We were crap down the right because of Elrich replacing Risdon so the best plan was lost, running at Cambridge.
