Betting companies rely on historical data & recent form when assessing markets.

Other than Rnd 27 last season, when we rested players for ACL, I don't recall Perf ever winning at Pirtek.

NSW TAB offering similar odds.

WSW - $1.67

Draw - $4.25

Perf - $4.50

Odds? Who cares? F**kin game day!

Tomorrows headline: WSW docked points for reducing business productivity across western Sydney on Friday.

The count down is on! Bring you A game grubs. And some water. Lots of water.

******* fire up.

We've played some of the best football in the league this season. We got this.

It's up to the home end and every supporter to make Perth feel "welcome" and drive the red and black to a positive result.

Stand n sing.

Can't wait.

I'd say they have better recent form than us (or anyone else in the league besides Adelaide). For historical data we beat them when they were rubbish at the start of the season and had a draw when we were on our win streak, before they fixed their squad in the transfer window. Anything before that seems a little irrelevant as our expected starting XI tonight will have about 8 players who didn't play for us last season.

Betting price also comes down when people bet on one result or another. We're a Sydney team, we're always going to be biased to reduce our odds.

yeap, its the same as socceroos odds being rubbish when betting with an onshore betting agency, they would be holding a bunch of money for WSW as we are westy scum who like a punt. The high perth/draw odds are reflective of them trying to entice some money back the other way

Here's a little inspiration from a season 1 post to help us fire up before the game

I hope we're not too aggressive. Therefore allowing the travelling Perth fans to exxxxxperience wanderland. And we can show everyone that those fascist, bigot hater, racist, sexist, homophobic, misogynist, Christian, 1%, white man articles from the TerrorGraph are totally false but everything written by the Guardian is 377412340% truth.

And PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE guys NO flares. When flares go off little children starve to death and puppies die and doesn't give me that warm tingly feeling on the inside. It will gives those fascist papers something to write about.

Make sure you take that advice yourself too. Talk to someone if you need to. Take care of your family, friends, but don't ignore /neglect yourself.

I know how you feel. I lost a close mate the same way 16 years ago.

Nel, make sure that YOU talk to someone as it was an emotional roller coaster for me after it happened.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Anyway, enjoy the game tonight peeps. Going to Wanderland is one of life's great joys and hopefully we'll get the win to stay top of the table.

Where's Victory with his PAX update?

I reckon 12.5-13.5k tonight. Be good to get more but Perth won't trouble the turnstiles unfortunately

Against Perth there is always the risk that LAC throws in a zero tolerance day and fills in the empty spaces with blue riot police overalls.

Yeah you're spot on, this game screams 13-14k. Anything 14k+ is a good result.

Keep in mind last game was 35 degrees, Sunday 5pm and a week about the whole flare (ha) up yet you guys still pulled 12.5k. Won't be less than that tonight.

The way Perth has been playing. I am expecting Wanderland  to pack it out. This is a MASSIVE game for us against one the form side of the competition. There is a silver lining if we happen to stumble and lose this one. More than likely it will mean SFC will be out of the top 6 and Perth will be in. Hoping for the win but not our easiest game of the season.

Feeling hopeful but nervous...

I know they're on fire, but did I hear on the News last night that Perth have scored 18 goals in their last 5? 6?? games??

Just walked from Glebe to Central Station and I saw Bob Carr!

I kept walking, and then, inside the long tunnel connecting broadway with central I saw a WSW jersey!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't see any webjet jerseys though. Never do down here. Smurfs don't show their colours much in all of Sydney.

If I saw Bob Carr, I'd be running.

Anyway, about to leave and head to the Leagues for a feed before the match. I feel 2-1 WSW ....

Sotirio. Oh man. I don't get it.

Perth have Castro, Harold, and the Irishman buzzing around all game. Without Sotirio's work ethic, we risk Neville being regularly outmanned and exposed. Castelen's defensive work rate is minuscule compared to Sotirio

I get the workrate thing, and can understand the logic. But the absolute lack of quality means that he is basically running around for nothing. Frustrating.
