does this count as tyson's first appearance for the club?

I thought he played in a match last year.

Capping at 16K. Dependent on extension to North and South terrace though.

Thanks.  I wonder whether that includes corporates.  If it doesn't it only leaves 3.7k for pre buys and walk ups.

Does it include non ticketed or out of town members?

Early on they said that they were only counting full memberships towards the cap so probably not.

If I recall, Tyson played for us at Cook Park last pre season.

Again, I didn't go into specifics re. the membership. Had a lot of other stuff to discuss and this was just an off the cuff comment from Shaun re. the membership.

RBB in good voice, some nice play.

Number 15 McGing I think it was - he was quality! Nice touches and good control. He was quite impressive.

How wound up was Hersi - itching to get on!

I saw McGing on the team card. Does anyone know anything about him? Background etc.

I was interested to see Nick Ward on the team sheet as well. Not many spots left on the roster.

Is this the same Nick Ward from Glory?

haha...edit, I'm sure there's only 1!

Ward was lost at right back. didn't offer much.

On McGing played in Mooy's spot first half and was effective. In the 2nd half played with La Rocca at the back. For mine best on field.

Other trialists didn't stand out for mine.

Also for those interested flare count was at a miserly one! My son was disappointed with the lack of hooliganism!  :P

I thought minnicon was good, dangerous every time he got on the ball.

Dickhead of the night goes to the the security guard who instead of picking up the flare decided to kick it across to the other bay where a whole bunch of kids were.

Just came back from the game... Amazing turn out and the RBB was in loud force! I was sitting in the Western stand and the chants can be heard loud and clear!

I'll try and analyse the players from my point of view..

Tyson - Played well, did what he could though I don't think he had a shot on goal or had to make any saves.

Cole - Amazing goal, for those who didn't go to the game, it was almost a carbon copy goal of the one he scored against SFC last season to make it 1-1.

Topor-Stanley - He didn't play great, he got beaten many times and he looks out of step or still not in fitness shape. I thought the refs let go a lot of his penalties. (Subbed off after half time)

Beauchamp - I didn't really notice him much, so I think it's a good thing. He was solid in defence. (Subbed off after half time)

Haliti - He made great passes to set up some players but they couldn't finish. (Subbed off after half time)

Poljak - Didn't notice him much as well.

Minniecon - I thought he really well! It was all him when Bridge scored our 2nd goal. I am starting to see why I guess Popa chose him over Visconte. (Started in the 2nd half)

Appiah Kubi - You may disagree with me but he always has a tendency in attack to get trapped in the corners and pass too late. Ruins the flow, He is fast and all, but I think he should learn how to spread the ball more.

Hersi - I think he played only for 25min, him and Bridge had a lot of good chemistry together. Tough there was an injury scare when Trifiro collided into him from the back. It looked really bad when he wasn't able to get up, but was okay.

Bridge - scored the goal and I thought his IQ and passing was really good.

Trifiro - was very reliable in defence

Cindric - He had EASY 1on1 with the Rams goalie but TOTALLY missed! I think that #9 (ahem #dino) is cursed.

La rocca, Baressi, Heffernan, Olsen - Didn't pay attention to their game.

Overall great game, they were much better than SFC last week and controlled the whole game.

I believe Rams had only 1-2 clear shots on target.

I enjoyed singing A Call to Arms just as much as I thought I would.

I really wish we had kept Tarek Elrich instead of getting Ward and Heffernan.  He's better and more versatile...

You know what you're talking about GunnerWanderer.

Mcging was best on ground and looked real comfortable In both positions..

Nicky Ward had some class touches as well.

Hope we sign him up. #trollingmack

^ Yep mcging was pretty good, apart from the air swing at the short free kick.

decent turnout as predicted they took away the caps on the bottles of our drinks again. Love pre season the cold nice fresh air, the vocals and our teams first kickout, thought we took much better control of the match 2nd half. Any one take a photo of our jersey looked like some kind of training protocol jesey, didn't mind it.

surely dickhead of the night would go to the person who actually lit the flare?
