Daniel Alessi
Peaches Posted January 11, 2014 Watching a player of his age makes me feel old and I'm only 25 hahaha. He was very impressive on debut. Good luck with the rest of the career. Keep working hard and continue to back yourself. 102megan 1

GunnerWanderer Posted January 11, 2014 for 16 this kid was immense. A few stray passes.... outside of this you can't complain.

theguyyouwishyouwere Posted January 11, 2014 in the first half, some fancy footwork and a nice turn. super confident on the ball at such a young age. a young Spiranovic? WhoDoWeSingFor 1
shakeyourface Posted January 12, 2014 Great debut on such a big game for this kid. Can someone please make a video highlighting him from this game?!!
marron Posted January 12, 2014 in the first half, some fancy footwork and a nice turn. super confident on the ball at such a young age. a young Spiranovic? Oozed confidence and composure.
Unlimited Posted January 12, 2014 I had my doubts, I admit - but he was fantastic. He had no problem darting in, cutting inside and looking forward - he really has eased into the "Polenz" role, an attacking minded RB.
Malone Posted January 12, 2014 I don't like him.He makes me feel bad about my own life. Great debut. MiguelB, DontCallMeJacko, Balkanite and 2 others 5
GD07 Posted January 12, 2014 In the first half the ball came across to him from I think mooy, warren came charging in and he just calmly let the ball roll across him and kept going upfield.
Jonaldo Posted January 12, 2014 Okay I get it that you are older than the players, I'm now much older than many managers, however when the players are younger then your own children then you know you're getting on in years. mark675, 102megan, Prydzopolis and 1 other 4
SBW Posted January 12, 2014 Handled ADP pretty well and surprised how quick he is, managed to catch Abbas a fair few times. Well done to the kid...
GD07 Posted January 12, 2014 Sounds like he's spent more time at CB than RB. That may explain him not bombing on as much as polenz. Also 3rd youngest debut in a league history.
Adam Posted January 12, 2014 Very impressed with him every time he touched the ball - so much so if Spira didn't have a blinder I'd give him the MOTM.
JackDoff Posted January 12, 2014 This guy was great last night, confident , composed & skillful . Big future ahead. Now for the LB position......
Davo Posted January 12, 2014 In future when people question the whole 'in Popa we trust' thing, remember this move. Brings in a 16 year old for his debut, in the Sydney derby, puts him on the most talented marquee player ever to play in the league and the kid plays like a boss. Burgerman 1
SBW Posted January 12, 2014 This guy was great last night, confident , composed & skillful . Big future ahead. Now for the LB position...... Brad Smith
Burztur Posted January 12, 2014 A late welcome! Did very well last night! Very comfortable with the squad.
mark675 Posted January 12, 2014 Big lad for 16, imagine when his voice breaks and he starts getting hair downstairs.
KGee Posted January 13, 2014 Was funny hearing Popa stating he had been training with the first team or at least lately because it's the school holidays. Imagine when he gets back to school. So what did you do in the holidays Dan? "Practiced practiced. Played football and showed some Italian midget I'm not to be messed with in the Sydney Derby. You?" WestGrub and Balkanite 2
Lookers Posted May 21, 2014 Alessi signs also! Can't wait to see more, this kid was great against the Smurfs.

teddies Posted May 21, 2014 born 1997 God I feel so old. I work at a bottlo and have to ID kids all the time.. it's a shock to the system. Sometimes I ID necessarily because I'm a creep like that.
Tigers Posted May 21, 2014 Alessi and Fofanah to Further Careers in Wanderland http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/wswanderersfc/news-display/Alessi-and-Fofanah-to-Further-Careers-in-Wanderland/90580 The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers have signed youngsters Alusine Fofanah and Daniel Alessi to two season National Youth Development contracts that will keep the pair with the Club until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.
Prydzopolis Posted May 21, 2014 National youth development contracts?? What are they? Just NYL contracts or are they contracts being the under 21 players in our 26 man squad?
mack Posted May 21, 2014 I'm going to assume they are the U21 contracts, each club can have three players on them in a season. NYL players are free to leave to join other clubs if those clubs offer them a full time A-League contract, the development contracts are lower paying contracts specifically for U21 players, that teams can give to prevent their best youth players leaving for other A-League teams. wanderersfanatic and Prydzopolis 2
