Note the earlier start time ladies and gents.

Bugger, that means I'll have to get to the playhouse by 5pm at the latest.

Sorry, the time was wrong on the original post. I have no idea why. It's 7:30 not 6:30pm.

Hey guys, are these pre-season matches advertised anywhere else apart from this forum? What about all the non-forum users? If we want a good crowd and some potential future members, these games should be advertised on the WSW Facebook and twitter.

I tell everyone on @WSWFCNews usually twice a day leading towards kick off.

The official WSW FB and Twitter usually advertise these things.

I've seen this posted on facebook, although I think it was by the Women of Western Sydney Wanderers page

And Pup, from memory jensen is pretty flat. On google maps it looks as though theres stands all down the western side, and a couple of tin sheds on the eastern side (with our BACKS to the ESFC homeground!). We stood on the eastern side at blacktown olympic park, and those sheds would possibly make us a lot louder than standing in the open air...

the gates open at 6:30pm but the GAMES STARTS AT 7:30PM.

We have to get out in force and show the other sydney team how strong our supporter base is, as i have a mate who supports Sydney FC and thinks we will struggle for crowds and sydney fc will sell out 60% of there games.

Bankstown City to Host Wanderers in Final Pre-season Match

Tuesday, 25 September 2012 12:00 AM

The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers will this Thursday play their final pre-season fixture when they take on the Bankstown City Lions at Jensen Park, Sefton.

This will be the squad’s final hit-out before the season proper commences with the Wanderers taking on the Central Coast Mariners at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday, 6 October with kick-off at 7.45pm.

Coach Tony Popovic said with the pre-season coming to an end it will be a good indicator as to where the side are at heading into their inaugural season.

“We’re getting closer and it’s good to see that all our hard work at training is starting to pay off with the guys looking fit and healthy,†Popovic said. “Bankstown will be a good test and will be a good hit-out for us.

“Obviously we are looking towards October 6 but these are all stepping stones that are forming us as a club.

It’s been enjoyable being able to play these matches in our local community and we look forward to everyone coming to see us play at Parramatta Stadium.â€

This is true, I expect a good showing from the usual suspects, would be great to get another 5000 or so.

Having a mate who supports ESFC is like having a mate who banged your grandma, he's a posing dirtbag. You could stop talking to him but if that doesn't work murder could be a good middle ground.

Yeah totally flat. Basically a suburban ground with very small, long stands stretched out on each side. The main side with a roof over it. The ends are bare and flat

What's going to happen when ADP pulls up sore or gets injured and has to sit out 4+ games? Where's the ESFC scum support then?

ESFC will have the same problems as last year and the year before. I can already see that pattern developing now. Their defence is a major weakness, and their pre-season form is pathetic. Just watch on as the season goes by and enjoy.

Mark my words. I predict they will really struggle to make the six. Apart from the youngsters Chianese and Mallia (and obviously Del Piero), I don't rate their team highly at all. The rest is average to me. They have some weapons in attack, but that is about it.

Doesn't bode too well for us considering we signed 2 of their back 4!!

We always knew Beauchamp was going to be a risk. I hope the captaincy galvanises him. Topor Stanley is better than either of the two centre backs they have. The left and right backs of both teams are at about the same level (maybe even an advantage to us). We have a better goal keeper. Therefore I rate our defence better. You have to remember in the last trial Brisbane put 5 past them.

ESFC could get lower attendances on occasion than season members
